Yes, but as noted in my last post. It has some issues. It would be a viable way of doing it if it fit the overlay window correctly. Not sure why it’s not.

Btw, the shortcode inline kind of works, but the video oddly does not expand to fit the enclosing div properly, so I’ve stuck with the iframed page for now.

Also, when using autoplay in the shortcode, the video starts on page load, not when the overlay opens.

Perhaps these issues can be addressed in your implementation.

Fyi. This is the script to disable Magnific Popup, which worked in this situation to solver the multiple pop-up issue.

    jQuery(document).ready(function ($) {var magnificPopupEnabled = false;$.extend(true, $.magnificPopup.defaults, {disableOn: function() {return false;}});});

    Thanks for the quick response.

Odd. Didn’t realize Magnific Popup was even in that theme. I have a script to disable it which I’ll try — use it on their Divi theme for the same situation. I’d just never seen that error before.

I’d tried that inline method with the video shortcode, but perhaps Magnific Popup was interfering with it to. I’ll try it again. That’d certainly be easier than the separate page method.

As far as an integrated Video player, WordPress already has MediaElement.js incorporated — perhaps just make use of that when passing a video URL and a class=”fancybox-video” on the link?

Yeah, it’s the YouTube link at the top, and all the Bios below. Logging out used to help, but not any more on this computer.

It’s odd. Not critical, as it’s fine on other computers. Just very weird.

Following up on this old topic again. Not sure why, but Easy FancyBox is still not working on this page on my computer. It used to, and it seemed to be okay for a while. I’m using the release versions of the plugin and the pro extension.

I’ve tried disabling Spotlight and the Minify feature in w3 Total Cache to no avail — it’s scripts and css are excluded from being minified anyway.

Any other thoughts? It’s oddly working everywhere else on the site just fine, and this page works on other computers. Just not mine.

Have you ever seen computer-specific anomalies like this?

I’ve bene playing with this, as I needed a similar solution, and found that increasing the margin in the settings to about 120px and then via css applying a small top negative margin works pretty well using div#fancybox-wrap {margin-top: -40px;}. I’ve got 3-5 line captions I need to deal with.

This is so bizarre. I’ve restarted, and it’s still not working on that one page on my desktop computer, but it is on my laptop, and on a colleague’s computer.

    ’tis a mystery.

    Thanks for taking a look.

I was trying it on a Mac in Safari, Chrome and Firefox, and it wasn’t working anywhere, though it would form time to time — it has been oddly sporadic.

I’ve just removed the rel=”team” as it wasn’t essential. I can revisit that wen the new version are out of dev status.

It’s now working for me on my laptop. Perhaps something odd is happening with my desktop, which seem very odd, but I’ll restart and see.

Just curious if there’s an update or ETA on this feature? It’s been 3 months, and this was originally supposed to be in the initial Pro release, no? Hate to be a pest, but I actually have a need for this now.

    Please advise.

    Great. Looking forward to it.

    Thanks for the update.
